Flying can be the perfect travel option if you want to make the most of your long weekend break

or if you are joining family and friends already at Gites dans les Champs. 

 

We are just 45 minutes from Poitiers Biard Airport served with regular flights from Ryanair ( www.ryanair.com)

 

We are an hour and a half from Limoges Airport with direct flights from Gatwick, Stansted, Bristol, Manchester, Nottingham, 

Leeds Bradford and Southampton.

Train travel is also a good option.  The nearest station is Ruffec, which has good connections to

Poitiers, Angouleme, Paris, Bordeaux and the UK:

There are, of course, many ferry options:

P&O Ferries ( www.poferries.com) with crossings from Dover to Calais.

Brittany Ferries ( www.brittanyferries.com) run crossings from Dover to Calais and Portsmouth to Caen, Cherbourg and St Malo. 

They also run crossings from Poole to Cherbourg and Portsmouth to Roscoff.

Condor Ferries ( www.condorferries.co.uk) operate catamaran services from Poole and Weymouth to St Malo via the Channel Islands. 

They also have a weekly conventional ferry services from Portsmouth to Cherbourg late May to early September which is popular with caravaners.

DFDS Seaways ( www.dfdsseaways.co.uk) operate ferries from Dover to Calais and Dunkirk; Newhaven to Dieppe; and Portsmouth to Le Havre.
